The Links feature analyzes your birth, orphanage, agency, and flight data to suggest people whose story crosses yours — sometimes very closely.
Every time a new member joins Inyeon or completes their profile, the system silently compares your personal data with that of other adoptees. When several clues converge — same orphanage, same agency, same birth date, same arrival flight — a match appears in your Links tab. You decide whether to go further.
If two adoptees took the same flight from Korea, there's a strong chance they left the same orphanage, on the same day, just hours apart. Inyeon automatically detects these flight number and date matches. A childhood friend lost to time may be on the other side of the world — and Inyeon will let you know.
The orphanage of origin is a powerful marker. Sharing the same orphanage — even months apart — means having lived within the same walls, crossed paths with the same people, perhaps shared the same memories. Inyeon silently groups members by orphanage and suggests people with whom you share this often-forgotten bond.
Adoption agencies keep invisible threads between files: close numbers, neighboring registration dates, sometimes siblings separated at birth. Inyeon detects agency and adoption number matches. In rare but moving cases, this has helped reconnect biological brothers and sisters.
Sharing the same birth date is not always a coincidence, especially when paired with a common orphanage or region. For adoptees whose date is approximate or reconstructed, cross-referencing with other criteria can reveal meaningful proximities. Each match is shown with a confidence level, the matching criteria, and of course respects the visibility each member has chosen.
